The main objective of Specimen Management Unit is to enhance the service quality of specimen receiving management in managing specimen not only from our country but also from overseas. Other responsibilities assigned to Specimen Management Unit are as follows:
1. Collects and Updates the list of tests offered by IMR. The updates can be viewed in IMR website (IMR Test List)
2. Receives, processess, and distributes specimen sent to IMR for specialized diagnostic tests.
3. Enhances the service quality of IMR counter service by updating and effectively notify customer regarding the status of specimen and monitor the progress of tests especially for medico-legal related specimen.
4. Manage effectively customer complaints regarding specimen and laboratory test result.
5. Investigate effectively in the case of missing specimen and come out with effective solution.
6. Call centre for IMR in medico-legal related cases.
